SMILY ACADEMY AND INTERNATIONAL FXC ORGANIZATION FORGE STRATEGIC COLLABORATION
February 7th, Assam - India
Smily Academy proudly announces a significant collaboration with the International FXC Organization, the pioneering force behind the innovative, coed team sport, Fireball Extreme Challenge™ (FXC), recognized as a knowledge partner of the World Bank’s Connect4Climate program.
Smily Academy is the special program of the NGO Indigenous People's Climate Justice Forum and it was founded by the legendary Forest Man of India, Jadav Molai Payeng, the coordinator for India of Al Gore’s network on biodiversity Rituraj Phukan, the first not-Indigenous leading an Indigenous Forum which represents about 400 million people in 90 countries, Prof. Claudia Laricchia, and two GenZ talents Munmuni Payeng and Matteo Salerno.
“We embrace with joy this partnership - says The Forest Man of India, Jadav Molai Payeng - as it marks a transformative step towards environmental awareness. Playing FXC in a forest will enhance the spirit of humans as a unique and loyal team, able to be inclusive, to fight for a unique goal and to remember to smile during the process”.
The initial milestone of the collaboration will be the inaugural learning experience titled "Climate Emergency: Cultivating Consciousness in a Forest," slated to take place in Assam, India, from March 20 to 26, 2024.
Curated by Smily Academy, this exclusive challenge based educational week will host a handpicked audience of 30 individuals: experts, designers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and talents under the age of 30, selected based on their values and professional profiles to transform their project works into eco-businesses.
Participants will engage in an immersive experience, exploring iconic locales where humanity and nature coexist harmoniously. Representing FXC at the event will be Max Bartoli, CEO & Co-Founder of the International FXC Organization, along with distinguished guest Fabiola Lopez Rivera, VP of the International FXC Federation.
“The International FXC Federation and Organization - says Max Bartoli - are very proud to sign this partnership with a such pioneering and innovative program. Playing FXC in the Molai Forest is the unprecedented occasion to express our values at their best: gender equality; inclusiveness; diversity; loyalty and the game as the perfect seed of planting a new human consciousness and new Indigenous approach to entrepreneurship, as the Smily Academy is brilliantly doing, and we all should support this capability to reverse direction and tackle the climate emergency starting from ourselves”.
Guided by esteemed personalities such as The Forest Man of India, Padma Shri Jadav Molai Payeng, Prof. Claudia Laricchia and Rituraj Phukan, attendees will partake in enlightening sessions and practical workshops aimed at refining sustainable business concepts. Assam is indeed the worldwide hotspot for biodiversity, one health and wildlife and the experience will be a deep dive into iconic places such as the Kaziranga national park and its 1,000 medical plants.
Recognizing the shared commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusivity, Smily Academy has integrated the principles of Fireball Extreme Challenge™ (FXC) into its program. Specifically Smily Academy uses the 4 phases to teach the Indigenous Factor to its participants: Soul (reconnect with yourself); Society (reconnect with the others); Soil (reconnect with the Planet); Smile (celebrate and scale up). FXC represents the second phase and is iconic on how wellbeing and sport are the language to cultivate thriving communities.
This decision underscores FXC's remarkable ability to foster community and break down barriers while promoting positive social change.
Helmed by the founders, Claudia Laricchia, Chairman of Smily Academy, and Rituraj Phukan, Smily Academy India Director, the event will spotlight lessons from representatives of the Indigenous communities, who effectively manage 85% of Earth's biodiversity and landscapes despite comprising only 5% of the global population.
Renowned speakers and influencers, including Prof. Sumantra Ray, NNePRO founder; GenZ voices Matteo Salerno and Munmnuni Payeng, Utsav Soni, CEO of AdventureBuddha & ManaliSwing, and Max Bartoli, will share insights and perspectives.
The Smily Academy represents a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering individuals under the age of 30 to become eco-entrepreneurs of the future. Through education, skills development, and networking opportunities, the Academy endeavors to establish eco-sustainable businesses that contribute positively to society.
That's how it attracts pioneering Partnerships. Imagine a match played in the Molai Forests involving participants, experts, Indigenous, not-Indigenous, just humans playing and smile.
